Student Therapist

Meredith has always been fascinated by the unique ways individuals seek connection, purpose, growth, and fulfillment in their lives. As a student therapist working to complete her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, she adopts a holistic and integrative approach in her practice to help her clients effectively manage their unique daily challenges as well as, achieve their short- and long-term goals. Meredith emphasizes the importance of developing strong therapeutic relationships built on trust, safety, and respect to encourage mutual, in-depth exploration and collaboration throughout the therapeutic process.

By demonstrating active listening, curiosity, warmth, empathy, and adaptability, Meredith works sensitively to gain deeper understandings of her clients’ lived experiences and worldviews as well as identify individual strengths, values, and goals.

Drawing on a wide range of therapeutic modalities, interventions, and theoretical orientations, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Structural Family Therapy (SFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy (NT), Experiential Therapies and attachment theory, Meredith tailors the therapeutic process to suit each client’s needs and honours the emotional, relational, and social factors that shape their experiences. Whether she is working with an individual, couple, or family, her goal is to help clients feel empowered, connected, and equipped to create meaningful change and achieve fulfillment in their daily lives.

Taking the first step toward personal growth and therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you feel ready to begin or simply have questions, Meredith is here to support you when the time feels right.
